Summertime in Southern California always brings the hot summer heat. But no need to worry! Tropicana Inn & Suites has 3 great tips to stay cool at Disneyland.
- SPLASH MOUNTAIN AND GRIZZLY RIVER RUN – One way to keep yourself cool this summer is by going for a wet and wild ride on either Splash Mountain or Grizzly River Run. Splash Mountain will guide you through a colorful bayou on a hollow log. Throughout the ride you’ll meet over 100 critters from Disney’s film, Song of the South. While on this log flume attraction you’ll go through 3 dips and a 5-story waterfall. Make sure to pick a seat in the front if you’re looking to get soaked! Like Splash Mountain, Grizzly River Run is quite refreshing. This whitewater attraction takes you through Grizzly Peak on an 8-person raft. With gurgling geysers, jetting water, and a big splashdown, you’ll definitely get drenched. Full of twists and turns, Grizzly River Run will be sure to keep you entertained.
- FROZEN – LIVE AT THE HYPERION – Disney’s latest addition to the Hyperion Theater has been a major hit! The performance includes elaborate costumes and showcases some of your favorite songs from the movie! So beat the heat and join Anna and Elsa as they take you on a magical journey through a winter-wonderland, no matter what the temperature is outside!
- COOL EATS – With high temps outside, it’s always smart to choose light and refreshing foods to eat! At the Hungry Bear Restaurant, try their picnic salad, mixed with turkey breast, feta, cranberries, strawberries, roasted almonds and jicama. If you’re looking for an on-the-go option, make sure to grab a Turkey Caesar Wrap! Or if you find yourself at Rancho del Zocalo, try some of their baked fish tacos, topped with cool cabbage slaw and chipotle-ranch. And you can never go wrong with a smoothie! At Schmoozies, there are several different smoothies to quench your thirst.
