Discover How You Can Dine With Your Favorite Disneyland® Characters
Meeting beloved characters is a quintessential part of the Disneyland® experience. But did you know you can go beyond quick meet-and-greets and enjoy a full meal with them—lots of them? Character dining lets you relax over breakfast, brunch, or dinner while your favorite Disney® friends come directly to your table for hugs, photos, and autographs. In 2025, the park added two new dining experiences, making this tradition more magical than ever.
How to Book a Character Dining Event at Disneyland®
Character dining is extremely popular, especially on weekends and during the holidays, so make reservations as early as possible. Check out all the options and make reservations on the Disneyland® Character Dining website up to 60 days in advance.
How Much Time Should I Budget?
Most character dining experiences last 1.5-2 hours. The Disney® Princess Breakfast Adventures tends to run a bit longer because of its multiple courses and extra activities, so factor in another 30 minutes or so.
Where in the Park Can You Find Disney® Character Dining?
Character dining is offered at four restaurants: one in Disneyland® Park, one in the Disneyland® Hotel, and two inside Disney®’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.
Disney® Princess Breakfast Adventures
Napa Rose, Grand Californian Hotel
This upscale, suitably fanciful experience features a three-course meal with brunch-style dishes, towering appetizers, and indulgent desserts. Disney® Princesses stop at each table, and guests can also meet them on a private patio and in a library for photos and hands-on activities like princess posing and storytelling. Waiters (fairy godmothers) sprinkle pixie dust on the food and kids leave with a keepsake, making for a particularly memorable morning.
Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast & Brunch Buffet
Storytellers Cafe, Grand Californian Hotel
Completely refreshed in 2025, this relaxed buffet is now more spacious and offers new menu items. Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and Chip and Dale circulate between tables, often sitting with guests. Breakfast runs until 10:55 am, with brunch served from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm, so if you time it right, you can try both. Seasonal events include Daisy’s Holiday Pajama Party and special holiday menus on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Minnie & Friends Breakfast in the Park
Plaza Inn, Disneyland® Park
Located on Main Street, U.S.A., this buffet is well-known for its large character lineup—you might meet seven or more in one sitting, whereas most other options include five. Minnie greets every guest personally, and friends like Pooh, Tigger, Pluto, or Chip and Dale often join in. Note that park admission is required in addition to the meal reservation for this particular character dining experience.
Goofy’s Kitchen Breakfast & Dinner Buffet
Disneyland® Hotel
Goofy’s Kitchen has the widest variety of food, and both breakfast and dinner options make this one of the more flexible experiences. The pizza buffet, with “goofy” choices like breakfast and dessert pizzas, is the star here. Goofy, Minnie, Pluto, and Chip and Dale mingle with guests while you dine.
Donald’s Tales of Adventure Dinner Buffet
Storytellers Cafe, Grand Californian Hotel
Launched in May 2025 for Disneyland’s® 70th anniversary, this brand-new dinner buffet features Donald, Daisy, Clarabelle, Goofy, and Pluto. A seasonal twist, Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast, will also debut here during the holidays.
