Disneyland® is ramping up to be better than ever in 2024 and the excitement is palpable. Here are the most anticipated events, new rides, and other awesome things to do, so you can plan ahead for the experience of a lifetime.

Mickey’s Mix Magic

When: January 8 to March 21, plus select nights from April 15 to April 25 

Mickey’s Mix Magic is a thrilling production that celebrates the beloved Mickey Mouse with an engaging projection show and fireworks. Unlike other sky shows at Disneyland®, you don’t have to be directly in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle to see the whole show. But take note – this event will be permanently closed after the last performance of the year on April 25!

Disneyland® After Dark: Sweethearts’ Nite

When: January 23, 25, 30 and February 1, 6, 8, 12, and 14

Love is in the air at Disneyland’s exclusive Sweethearts Nite, where you can celebrate at a nighttime spectacular with rarely seen characters, special menu items, and a dedicated fireworks show. The event is currently sold out, but stay tuned in case more dates are added due to popular demand. 

Lunar New Year at Disney® California Adventure Park

When: January 23 through February 18

Celebrate the Lunar New Year at Disney® California Adventure Park in Anaheim and ring in the Year of the Dragon with an unforgettable multicultural celebration. Guests can enjoy Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese food, crafts, gifts, and more.

Disney® California Food & Wine Festival

When: March 1 through April 22

This beloved tradition is back for yet another year of culinary delights and delicious drinks. The California Food & Wine Festival at Disneyland® is a great way to experience the delicious food and beverages that California is so well known for. Guests must be over the age of 21 with a valid photo ID to drink alcohol and engage in certain activities; however, there are delectable dishes throughout that make this event a special treat for the whole family!

Disneyland® After Dark: Disney Channel Nite

When: March 5 & 7

Get ready for a fun-filled night of your favorite Disney® Channel classics! Don’t miss this new Disneyland® After Dark Experience which is sure to kickstart the nostalgia and bring back fond memories of the iconic shows and characters that defined your childhood. These after hours events typically sell out fast, so be sure to grab your tickets soon! 

Pixar Fest

When: April 26th to August 4th

Pixar Fest is back this April with a new parade, limited-time character experiences, including the pals from Inside Out and Elemental, select merchandise, and more. Plus, don’t miss the popular projection and fireworks show, Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular!

Disneyland® New Rides for 2024

 In 2020, plans were announced that the classic Splash Mountain boat ride would be updated with a new theme. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is the most anticipated new arrival in Disneyland® this year and should be completed by the end of 2024. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure celebrates the rich culture of New Orleans, with colorful scenes and new music inspired by The Princess and the Frog.

New Restaurants Disney® 2024

There are also several new restaurants on the map this year. At the Downtown Disney® District, try dumplings at Din Tai Fung or margaritas and tacos by Michelin-star chef Carlos Gaytan at Paseo and Centrico. Plus, guests will have access to Parkside Market, a new food hall that includes several restaurants and eating areas.
