Disneyland Moves Forward - New Attractions Across The Street From Tropicana Inn & Suites
“Around here, however, we don’t look backward for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things. Because we’re curious, and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” — Walt Disney
In the wake of COVID-19, Disneyland® is taking its own advice to “just keep swimming.” Exciting new updates are occurring this year at the theme parks as they prepare for the reopening of both Disneyland® Park and Disney California Adventure® Park on Friday, April 30th. Here are new attractions and updates you’ll see coming to Disneyland® in the next few years!
New Attractions Coming to the Disneyland® Resort
Book your next trip to the Disneyland® Resort to enjoy these new upcoming attractions:
Avengers Campus®
Disney California Adventure® Park’s new land, Avengers Campus®, is expected to open at a later date in 2021. In this exciting new world, you can team up with your favorite characters from the Avengers. Explore the Avengers headquarters, shop for the latest superhero gear, or wind through an ancient sanctum where you’ll learn secrets of the mystical arts with Doctor Strange.
Web Slingers®
Web Slingers is part of the Avengers Campus® and this interactive thrill ride allows guests to shoot virtual webs from their wrists to collect digital spider bots that have begun to overrun the campus.
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway®
The popular Walt Disney World® attraction, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway® is coming to Disneyland® Park in 2022! This ride-through attraction will place park guests inside the zany and unpredictable world of a Mickey Mouse cartoon short! This state-of-the-art ride will use projection mapping technology along with special effects to create a fun experience for adults and children of all ages.
Updated Rides at Disneyland® Park
Not only is Disneyland® creating a multitude of new attractions to enjoy post-COVID-19, they’re also revamping a number of existing rides, such as:
A Happy Ending for Snow White’s Scary Adventure®
When the park reopens in April 2021, Snow White’s Scary Adventure® will be renamed Snow White’s Enchanted Wish®. The ride will no longer end darkly with the witch being struck by lightning and the fate of Snow White and her Seven Dwarves unknown. The attraction will now feature a happy ending with Snow White waking up from her sleep and being reunited with the Dwarves and her animal friends with the sparkling castle in the distance.
A New Splash Mountain Theme®
Splash Mountain® will be updating its theme to a stunning rendition of the Princess and the Frog®. The attraction’s storyline will pick up where the movie left off and riders will get to enjoy a magical Mardi Gras experience with some of the most popular music from the movie. Stay tuned for more information regarding the opening date of this new attraction.
Jungle Cruise®
The new Jungle Cruise® attraction will feature a skipper both as a guide and a figure within the show itself. During the river cruise, after the boat splits apart and monkeys board the wreckage, the expedition moves up a tree! Famous Jungle Cruise® boats, the Mekong Maiden and the Kwango Kate, will also be making a reappearance several years after they mysteriously disappeared!
