Learn To Prepare For Disneyland® With Family & Kids | Tropicana Inn & Suites
There’s no question that planning a trip to Disneyland® or Disney California Adventure® with kids is fun and exciting. It can also be a bit overwhelming, though, particularly for first-time visitors. On top of literally mapping out your days, figuring out how to try ALL the new treats, and deciding on a hotel near Disneyland®, you also need to know things like Disneyland® ride height requirements—especially if you have young kids in tow.
In this guide, we’ll go over some good-to-know details, plus share a ton of fun things to do that aren’t rides. Whether you’re visiting Disneyland® with kids for the holidays or another time of year, both parks have plenty of attractions and experiences that go far beyond rides and roller coasters. Add even more magic to your visit by unwinding, exploring, or catching some live entertainment…or all of the above!
Disneyland® Rides 101
Before diving into the non-ride attractions, let’s go over some basics about rides. One thing to note is that generally speaking, DCA caters more to older kids and teenagers. That’s not to say that young kiddos won’t enjoy DCA or teens can’t enjoy Disneyland®, but that’s just a very broad rule of thumb to keep in mind.
Speaking of teens, all guests must be at least 14 years old to enter the park without an adult.
As you plan your itinerary, it’s also good to know the height requirements for rides in both parks. Check those HERE for all rides, so you know which children can go on which rides beforehand.
