When Is Disneyland® Lunar New Year 2023?

Disney® Lunar New Year 2023 celebrations take place from January 20, 2023 through February 15, 2023. Embrace the spirit of the Lunar New Year with joyous tributes to Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean cultures at Disney® California Adventure Park. This multicultural, family friendly event features new food, festivities, parades, nighttime shows, and character meetings. 

Some of the Fun for the Year of the Rabbit

There’s so much fun to be had during this celebration! A must-see event is Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession, a spirited parade of dancing, Disney® pals, and music in this all-ages show that travels from Pixar Pier to Hollywood Land. The parade also features a lively group of entertainers including a Chinese dragon puppet, warriors, drummers, and dancers. Plus, there will be special appearances of Mickey and Minnie and all their pals dressed up in festive holiday attire. You will have multiple opportunities to witness this magical march as it occurs more than once per day at the park. 

As nighttime falls, more magic erupts in the Hurry Home – Lunar New Year Celebration, a water show celebrating family and friendship accompanied by a dazzling musical score. The short-tale features Little Lantern on his journey to get back home in time to celebrate the good luck and fortune of the New Year. 

All month long, there will be special musical performances at the Live Garden Bandstand. You can hear all of this as you stroll along the Lunar New Year Marketplace to sample and taste a bounty of creative Asian food delights with a Disney® theme.
