Disney Imagineers are working on bringing more magic to Mickey’s Toontown! The land is slated for a grand reopening sometime in early 2023! Now is the time to plan your visit for this much anticipated reopening. Booking accommodations at a Disney Good Neighbor Hotel like Tropicana Inn & Suites is conveniently close to Mickey’s Toontown and one of the best family hotels in Anaheim.

Plans For The New Toontown

When Toontown is back up and running, families with young children will have even more to experience at the park than before. The new Toontown will include green space as far as the eye can see, and Centoonial Park. The highlight of the park is set to be an eye-catching fountain. During the day, you’ll be able to play in large trays of water, offering a sensory experience guests of all ages can appreciate. And after dark, the fountain will be transformed into a visual wonder you’ll need to see to believe.

But this isn’t all you’ll have to look forward to. The other key attraction will be the Dreaming Tree. This attraction pays tribute to Walt Disney, who would often sit under a similar tree and daydream as a child. The Toontown tree will feature sculpted roots that young children will be able to play in.

Additional Attractions

The new and improved Toontown will also feature Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. The ride transports guests into a classic Mickey Mouse cartoon. You may recognize the train’s engineer in the form of Goofy. The visual effects you’ll experience during the ride make this attraction one of the park’s most immersive and stunning rides.

Also found in Mickey’s Toontown is the classic Roger Rabbit ride. When you board the ride, you’ll be entering a taxi that will set out to scour Toontown for sightings of the missing Jessica Rabbit. Roger Rabbit joins you on the quest to find her, with Benny the Cab leading the way.

However, the journey to finding Jessica will be disrupted by the presence of the weasels, who will do anything in their power to prevent you from finding her. You’ll have to dodge them as you pass through the storage area of the Gag Warehouse.

In addition, you won’t want to miss Mickey’s House, the design of which was inspired by Toontown’s original style. Right away you’ll notice that the house wasn’t built to be proportionate. With an oversized front porch and a tiny second floor, Mickey’s House is a unique site to see!
