What Is the Disney100 Celebration?

The Disney100 Celebration marks the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company®. The year-long celebrations began on January 27, 2023 and guests can expect many new exciting debuts and events that honor the magic that Disney® has created over the years. It’s truly a unique opportunity to see Disney® in all its splendor dressed up for this festive platinum event with special edition merchandise, foods, and parties galore taking place at the Disney® Parks.

Wondrous Journeys at Disneyland® Park

“Wondrous Journeys” is an epic adventure of sights and sounds that pays tribute to 100 years of Walt Disney Animation Studios®. This thrilling nighttime spectacular occurs each evening at Disneyland® Park against the backdrop of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle and Main Street. The 13-minute long performance features state-of-the-art projection technology, and on select nights stirring pyrotechnics, that will transport you into the wonderful creations of beloved Disney® classic animated films. Witness 100 years of wonder and imagination that has created characters and stories that have dared us to dream bigger and reach for the stars.This is a must-see show that honors the creativity of animation artists and pioneers that have brought to life some of the most endearing characters in movie history. 

World of Color — One at Disney® California Adventure Park

The fun doesn’t end at the main Disneyland® Park. Disney® California Adventure Park is in on the reimagined nighttime spectacular action as well! “The World of Color – One” light show is an entertainment extravaganza taking place in Paradise Gardens Park. For 24 minutes, you’ll see a dazzling display of Disney® and Pixar® characters with dancing water and special effects. The concept behind this stirring show is that  “it takes only a single ripple to make a huge impact. After all, a ripple can generate a wave—and a wave can power an ocean of change.” This breathtaking storytelling features some of your favorite film moments from classics such as Soul, The Lion King, Moana, and so many more. 

For the best viewing spots, there are roped-off reserved areas which are standing-room only. You can access these areas through a virtual queue or by having a valid voucher from a World of Color – One Dining Package or Dessert Party. Additional places to watch the show will be located on a first-come basis by Paradise Bay.
