When Is Disneyland® Star Wars Season of the Force 2024?

Thrilling fan favorite Season of the Force will be returning to Disneyland® on April 5 through June 2, 2024. This year, Season of the Force coincides with the May the 4th Star Wars celebration, and Disneyland® After Dark’s Star Wars Nites

What to Expect During Your Trip

If you’re planning a vacation to Disneyland® in 2024 for Star Wars Season of the Force, here’s what you can expect:

New Star Tours Scenes

Star Tours — The Adventures Continue is coming back this year with all-new scenes featuring fan-favorite Ahsoka in an interactive 3D space flight set to a thrilling musical score. Guests will also enjoy in-cockpit special effects and audio animatronics for a completely immersive experience.

Hyperspace Mountain Makes a Comeback

Hyperspace Mountain is an exciting ride overlay that transforms beloved Space Mountain into an action-packed, Star Wars-themed event. This typically appears around May 4th and extends through the end of Season of the Force. During this time, guests can enjoy the ride with Star Wars music and projection images of iconic ships and characters.

Star Wars Nite

Disneyland® After Dark hosts a separate ticketed-admission event called Star Wars Nite on April 16, 18, 23, 25, 30 and May 2, 7 and 9, 2024. Captain Phasma starts off the exclusive event with a March of the First Order in Tomorrowland, along with lightsaber training and a cavalcade that includes costumed fans. Young Jedis and Siths can work on their lightsaber skills at the It’s a Small World Mall, or join the Galactic Dance Party on Main Street U.S.A.

Specialty dining options include crab fritters, street-style elote burgers, pork belly loaded fries, chocolate funnel cake, and more. The pre-party mix in starts at 6 pm, where guests with Star Wars Nite tickets can enter the park prior to the fun. The event kicks off at 9 pm and ends at 1 am on selected dates.

Exciting Star Wars Themed Food

It wouldn’t be Disneyland® without incredible food and Star Wars Season of the Force promises to have plenty of delicious dishes to try, like Roasted Endorian Chicken Salad and Moof Juice, or Batuu Bits, Kyryll Pork Rinds, and of course, Blue and Green Milks. And for dessert, don’t miss Chewbacca’s Wookie Cookie or the Grogu Candy Apple.

Themed alcoholic beverages include the Fuzzy Tauntaun, the Jedi Mind Trick, Jet Juice, Bespin Fizz, Yub Nub, and the Dogobah Slug Slinger. Non-alcoholic specialty drinks are also available, including the Black Spire Brew, Jabba Juice, and Carbon Freeze.

Special Merchandise

Star Wars fans also have the opportunity to purchase new collectibles throughout the season, including all the pieces you need to build a lightsaber. Plus, you can shop t-shirts, mugs, toys, and other exclusive Star Wars-themed merchandise only available at Disneyland® during Season of the Force.

Rare Character Sightings

Season of the Force is also the season of Star Wars characters, with rare sightings of your favorites all around the park. Keep your eye out for BB-8, Rey, Kylo Ren, and the Stormtroopers – if you’re lucky, you’ll get to see classic characters like Darth Vader, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, and other iconic personalities from the Star Wars universe.

Things to Keep In Mind

Here are some other helpful things to keep in mind when planning your Season of the Force Disneyland® Trip:

  • There is a dress code for day park guests. Day guests over the age of 14 may wear Star Wars t-shirts, or street clothes outfits with similar color schemes, but may not wear Star Wars themed costumes, either branded or homemade. Star Wars Nite guests, however, are welcome to wear costumes if they would like. You also may not have capes or parts of your costume that drag across the ground.
  • Get Lightning Lane reservations for popular attractions, especially for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. If you can’t snag the Lightning Lane, visit the ride first thing in the morning or just before the park closes for the shortest lines. Rise of the Resistance usually closes earlier in the day than other attractions in the park, so be sure to check before planning your itinerary.
  • If you want to build a lightsaber or droid, do this towards the end of the day. This way you won’t have to carry it around the park or leave the park to take it to your hotel.
  • Use Disneyland®’s mobile order feature for dining. This can help you save time waiting in line for food so you have more to spend enjoying Star Wars-themed activities and attractions.
  • Make reservations. Reservations for popular attractions like Droid Depot, Savi’s Workshop, and Oga’s Cantina can be booked up to 60 days ahead of your trip. This is a good idea since the park tends to be extra busy during this time, and if you try to do a walk-up, you might not be able to get in.
